Impacts of Development of Small and Micro Business on the Promotion of Employment
Based on the micro-data from tianyancha.com,and macro-data of provinces and prefecture-level cities from various statistical yearbooks,this paper applies a fixed-effect linear regression model to analyze and quantify the impacts of development of small and micro business on the promotion of employment.Our results sug-gest that the development of small and micro business has positive effects on the total amount of employment,em-ployment in private sectors,and employment structure.The development of small and micro businesshas signifi-cantly increased the total amount of employment,especially the employment in the private sector and in the areas with low proportion of small and micro business.In terms of employment structure,the development of small and micro business not only has significantly promoted the employment to shift from the secondary industry to the tertiary industry,but also has significantly increased the share of high educated employees.
