The Significance and Path of Promoting the Integration of Domestic and Foreign Trade in China against the Backdrop of Prolonged Western Trade Protectionism
Promoting the strategy of integrating domestic and foreign trade is an important measure for China to effectively respond to the prolongation of Western trade protectionism.Implementing the strategy of integrating do-mestic and foreign trade will help Chinese enterprises effectively adapt to changes in the trade environment in do-mestic and foreign markets,attract foreign trade enterprises to actively tap the domestic market,alleviate the impact of US sanctions,and help them deal with the difficulties of protecting intellectual property rights overseas.At the same time,it will help domestic trade enterprises enhance brand awareness,expand sales channels,promote indus-trial structure transformation and upgrading,optimize import processes,and improve import quality.At present,al-though the development process of China's domestic and foreign trade integration is accelerating and the scale and quality are constantly improving,domestic and foreign trade enterprises still face difficulties in transformation,in-consistent product standards,and long and complicated trade logistics chains.Therefore,it is suggested that,first-ly,the free trade pilot zones should be given greater autonomy to promote the innovative development of domestic and foreign trade integration;secondly,good practices and experiences from various regions in the integration of do-mestic and foreign trade should be actively absorbed,such as developing domestic and foreign trade business on the same ship,actively building international airport centers,and building industry platforms for the integration of do-mestic and foreign trade.In addition,China's specific implementation path for the development strategy of integra-ting domestic and foreign trade also includes:at the government level,actively carrying out comparative analysis of the differences between domestic and foreign trade standards;gradually formulating and promoting unified domestic and foreign trade product standards;strengthening the construction of domestic and foreign intellectual property pro-tection networks,while also actively bench-marking against high-standard international economic and trade rules such as the CPTPP;strengthening researches on international economic and trade rules,actively exploring markets in Southeast Asia regions and Africa;giving play to the strong complementarity between China and Southeast Asia and Africa in terms of resource endowments,industrial structure,etc.;establishing a digital platform for the coor-dination of domestic and foreign trade at the industry level to promote the efficient integration of domestic and for-eign trade logistics and supply chains;and encouraging chain-leading and platform-based enterprises to rationally deploy globalization at the enterprise level to accelerate the new pattern of internal and external circulation.
