Networking Structure and Technological Evolution Strategy of All-optical Base for Railway Communication Carrier Network
The all-optical base such as the optical transport network(OTN)serves as the foundation of communication carrier network. It exhibits the advantages of extra-large bandwidth,extra-low delay, safety and reliability, and has become the cornerstone of network capacity.By examining the backbone transmission network of the carrier network of China Railway Jinan Group Co.,Ltd.,the paper analyzes the current state of the network and deficiencies in its networking structure. Moreover, the evolution direction of the all-optical base networking structure of the railway carrier network is outlined, focusing on the development requirements such as continuous growth of network capacity and flexible network dispatching.Additionally, the overall planning concept is proposed based on the development of new carrier technology such as optical service unit(OSU)and the deployment of the backbone OTN system of the carrier network. The large-scale carrying capacity and comprehensive service capabilities of the high speed railway network are amplified, while simultaneously preserving its potential to transform towards adaptable conduit systems, such as OSU technology.Plans and strategic proposals are put forward to establish the all-optical base of the carrier network for local branches of CHINA RAILWAY.
