Improvement of Railway Carrying Capacity of Xinjiang Coals
Amid China's proactive initiatives for achieving peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality,further supply-side structural reform has been carried out in the coal industry.As a result,many coal production bases have gathered in Xinjiang where the coal production capacity has been further enhanced.On the premise of meeting the local market demand,more coals will be transported out of Xinjiang to address the nationwide coal shortages.A comprehensive analysis was conducted on the current situation and challenges from carrying capacity of railway coal transport.By considering the influence factors and primary flows and directions of coals transported out of Xinjiang,suggestions are proposed in five areas:the point-line-network carrying capacity,locomotive crew and locomotive operation,freight train formation,traffic organization,and command& dispatching,in a bid to enhance railway carrying capacity of Xinjiang coals.
