Research on the Line Configuration Scale of Railway Passenger Car Servicing Depots
To determine the configuration scales of servicing sidings and train stabling sidings in railway passenger car servicing depots is important for saving land and reducing project investment.According to Article 4.3.2 of Code for Design of Railway Passenger Car Rolling Stock Facilities(TB 10029-2009),the number of tracks shall be determined according to the number of trains to enter the depot, and corresponding calculation tables shall be given. In accordance with the code revision, mathematical statistics and probability theory methods were adopted to study the line configuration scale and verify the current applicability of the provision. The conclusions are as follows:(1)The method for determining the sum of the number of servicing sidings and train stabling sidings by determining the time for passenger trains to enter and leave the railway passenger car servicing depot according to the train diagram and analyzing the maximum number of stabling trains is the basic principle and accurate method for determining the number of lines in the railway passenger car servicing depot.(2)The method for determining the number of tracks according to the number of trains to enter the depot and the configuration coefficient is feasible. The error between the calculated average of the number of tracks of all railway passenger car servicing depots of CR and the number obtained by the train diagram analysis method is 0.3%~7.5%,showing good conformity.(3)When the three calculation methods are applied to specific passenger car servicing depots, the root mean square error of all depots of CR is 25%~27%.The error is affected by subjective and objective factors for preparation of the train diagram and caused by difference in distribution law of arrival/departure time of trains at all passenger stations, and it can be adapted through adjustment of the train diagram.
