Research on Overhaul Cycle Management Technology for HSR Line Equipment
In response to the impending overhaul issues of the early-opened HSR line equipment in China,following the approach of determining the overhaul cycles according to track components,this paper proposes recommendations for the overhaul cycles of HSR line equipment such as rails,fasteners,turnouts,sleepers,and ballasted track beds.The overhaul cycle for HSR rails is defined as either a carrying tonnage not exceeding 1000 Mt or a service life not exceeding 30 years.The overhaul cycle for fastener clips should be consistent with the rail overhaul cycle of the same section,which is also based on a carrying tonnage of 1000 Mt or a service life of 30 years;for the replacement of ballasted or ballastless turnout rail components,it is recommended to adopt a carrying tonnage of 600 Mt or a service life of 20 years.For turnouts in good condition,the overhaul cycle may be appropriately extended after assessment but should not exceed the overhaul cycle for rails of the same section.Based on a ballast fouling rate of 35％,the recommended ballast overhaul and cleaning cycle is determined as a carrying tonnage of 450 Mt or a service life of 20 years.The recommended overhaul cycle for sleepers is a total carrying tonnage of 2000 Mt or a service life of 40 years,with adjustments made as appropriate based on condition assessment results.
