高校英语演讲选手讲述中国故事的跨文化叙事问题分析

演讲是语言的艺术、声音的赛道,英语演讲是讲述中国故事的重要路径.本研究通过对3名外教、3名指导教师和8名选手的访谈,分析高校英语演讲选手在讲述中国故事时存在的问题:选手只关注陈述"信息",而没有关注这些"信息"是否产生意义;选手对"发出中国声音"的视角与定位的认识尚不全面;英语演讲选手的叙事与论述能力不足.据此,要提升英语演讲选手的跨文化叙事能力,选手要充分了解国际局势,故事要体现真实性,文化要体现当代性,叙事要体现包容心,语言要避免堆砌辞藻.
Researching into Problems of Cross-Cultural Narrative in College English Speaking Contestants Telling Chinese Stories
Speaking is the art of language,the track of voice,and English speaking is an important means to tell Chinese stories.This study analyzes the weak points in college English speaking contestants telling Chinese stories through interviews with 3 international teachers,3 tutors,and 8 contestants.The problems identified include contestants focusing only on presenting"information"without considering whether this"information"is meaningful or not,contestants having a limited perspective and positioning on"voicing China",and contestants lacking narrative and argumentative abilities in English speeches.To enhance the ability of English speaking contestants telling Chinese stories,contestants are expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the international situation;stories should reflect authenticity with contemporary culture and inclusive narratives,avoiding excessive rhetoric.
