A Study on the Quality and Index of Undergraduate Business English Education
This study,guided by The Overall Program for Deepening Educational Evaluation Reform in the New Era and The Reform Program for Adjustment and Optimization of Discipline and Specialty Settings in Ordinary Higher Education,based on the quality evaluation index system for undergraduate education in Business English,collected valid questionnaires from 221 business English colleges and universities nationwide to serve as our data source.Using an interdisciplinary research approach and Python programming,we analyzed 8 first-level indicators,29 second-level indicators,and 76 third-level indicators of the index system to assess its performance.This effort established the first business English education quality database in China.We also delved into three core topics:talent cultivation mode,talent cultivation quality,and talent cultivation teachers.Meanwhile,we attempted to conduct exponential analysis.Finally,we provided recommendations for enhancing the quality of business English education in this new era.
