As artificial intelligence technology,especially ChatGPT,rapidly evolves,English education is at a pivotal moment of transformation.This study builds upon the traditional curriculum model,meticulously analyzing how the integration of artificial intelligence as a new elemental factor with the conventional triad of teachers,students and textbooks forms an innovative four-element curriculum model.Specifically,the paper uses practical examples to illustrate how ChatGPT can enhance the teaching effectiveness and professional level of English teachers,improve the efficiency and overall quality of English learning for students,and bolster the quality and diversity of teaching materials.While analyzing these positive impacts,the research also explores the challenges that artificial intelligence presents to the new four-element curriculum model and offers suggestions for addressing these challenges.
