The Elements for University Foreign Language Teachers to Improve the Competence in Cultivating Innovative Talents:From the Perspective of Internationalized Innovation Exchanges
Innovation is the primary force in spearheading development,and foreign language competence is the fundamental and core competence for innovative talents to be internationally competitive.By obtaining feedback from students in the discipline of Literature,this study researches into the evaluation of classroom teaching and extracurricular education,the internationalization ecology of the university,and students'participation in international activities in universities in the eastern part of China.From the perspective of students'feedback,the study analyzes the elements for university foreign language teachers to improve the competence in cultivating innovative talents:in the classroom,the focus is expected to shift from"imparting knowledge"to"inspiring innovation",whilst outside the classroom,teachers are expected to both"clarify doubts"and"cultivate talents".In terms of leveraging the advantage of foreign language education to create an innovative ecology,the emphasis is expected to shift from"pure language learning"to"competence building".There would be a focus on exploring and practicing internationalized innovation exchanges.
