A Conceptual Analysis of Translation Theory in the Evolution of Disciplines
In view of the increasing expansion of the conceptual connotation of translation theory in current research and the occasional ambiguous reference of the concept in practical use,this paper attempts to explore the core connotation of translation theory from the disciplinary and academic perspectives.Taking translation theory as the main topic,this paper tries to define the essence of translation theory by drawing on the advantages of different research orientations,and makes a preliminary distinction between translation theory and translation studies theory.Then,within the framework of one body with three rings theory,this paper analyzes the similarities and differences between pure translation theory and applied translation theory.Finally,the paper discusses the relationship between translation theory,translation thought and translation studies,aiming at contributing to the orderly development and continuous deepening of contemporary translation studies.
