The Epidemic Status of Classical Swine Fever in China and the Way of Elimination
Classical swine fever(CSF)was still prevalent in many countries and regions of the world,causing a huge economic loss to the pig industry.At present,the control effect of CSF in China was well,showing a stable trend and the prevalence rate was extremely low.CSF impacted on healthy breeding and pork exports,so it was necessary to elimination of CSF.As the pig industry constantly upgrading,small pig farm gradually close down,CSF monitoring technology more and more advanced,the government has issued policies and taken measures to carry out animal disease elimination,all these factors showed that it was gradually mature to carry out the elimination of CSF.However,we should not to ignore the problems and challenges,such as atypical classical swine fever,mixed infections,immu-nization failures,and movement of animals,etc.In this study,we would elaborate from the epidemic situation and prevention and control status of CSF in China,the necessity and strategy of elimination,the problems and challenges faced,as well as the experience of CSF elimination in Europe and the United States,and the adoption of CSF elimination measures,in order to provide theoretical help for the e-limination of CSF in China.
