Diagnostic and Gene Detection of Epidemic Diarrhea Virus Infection in Tibetan Scent Pigs
To clarify the causes of piglet diarrhea in large-scale Tibetan scent pig farm in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture,Sichuan Province.Fecal and intestinal samples of diarrhoeic piglets were collected for laboratory aetiology diagnosis.RT-PCR was used to de-tect the infections of four common intestinal viruses. The test results showed that porcine epidemic diarrhea virus(PEDV)antibody was positive.Porcine delta coronavirus, porcine infectious gastroenteritis virus and porcine group A rotavirus antibody were negative for all three viruses. The S1 gene sequence of this strain was further amplified by RT-PCR and sequenced. The results showed that the strain had the highest homology with the G2 variant strain and relatively low homology with other genotypes,so it was determined that the dis-ease in piglets in this farm was caused by infection with the G2 variant strain of porcine epidemic diarrhea virus.Emergency immuniza-tion,treatment,disinfection and other comprehensive prevention and control measures were carried out on the sick pigs to control the spread of the disease.Summarized the treatment experience of this swine epidemic diarrhea virus epidemic, for pig farms to provide reference for the treatment, prevention and control of this epidemic.
