The Status and Case Analysis of Treatment and Utilization of Manure from Large-Scale Pig Farms
The large-scale pig farming industry produced a large amount of manure,and if not properly treated and utilized,it posed a serious threat to the environment and public health.Manure treatment and resource utilization had become crucial aspects for achieving sustainable development in the pig farming industry.This article explored the hazards of manure in large-scale pig farms,introduced the centralized manure collection systems for manure in large-scale pig farms,and outlined two manure cleaning processes currently used in the treatment of pigsty manure in large-scale pig farms,including urine soaking and mechanical cleaning.It also provided a detailed discussion of the treatment technologies for solid manure and liquid wastewater,encompassing various methods such as bio-logical fermentation,anaerobic digestion,aerobic treatment and more,to meet the needs of different scales of pig farms.Meanwhile,the article explored two main manure treatment and utilization models in large-scale pig farms,namely the integrated ecological recycling with crop farming and industrialized deep processing.It anticipated the role of future technological innovations in promoting manure treatment and utilization,calling for collective efforts to achieve the plan of sustainable development of large-scale pig farming,ensuring environmental protection,and human healthy.This article provided valuable references for the selection of manure treatment technolo-gies and utilization models in large-scale pig farms,contributing to environmental protection and the sustainable development of the pig farming industry.
