Objective To investigate the clinical result of laparoscopic hiatal hernia repair with autologous tissue-covered mesh. Methods The clinical data of 21 patients who underwent laparoscopic hiatal hernia repair with autologous tissue-covered mesh at Department of Minimally Invasive,Hernia and Abdominal Wall Surgery,People's Hospital of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region from Nov 2020 to Oct 2021 was retrospectively analyzed. Results All the 21 patients underwent the surgery successfully by laparoscopic hiatal hernia repair with autologous tissue-covered mesh. There was no convertion to open operation. The mean operation time was(137.1±26.1)minutes.The mean intraoperative blood loss was(20.5±8.1)ml.The length of postoperative hospital stay was(5.7±2.5)days.Of all the 21 patients, there were 20 patients followed up for 16 to 26 months, and the mean follow-up time was(23.0±2.6)months.There were no mesh erosion,no mesh migration nor hernia recurrence occurred. Conclusion Laparoscopic hiatal hernia repair with autologous tissue-covered mesh is safe and feasible,it can reduce mesh related complications such as mesh erosion, mesh migration.
