Objective To analyze the effect of modified non-inflatable transaxillary approach total endoscopic thyroid surgery on recurrent laryngeal nerve function. Methods The data of 78 patients undergoing thyroidectomy from January 2019 to June 2021 were retrospectively analyzed and divided into two groups according to different surgical methods:38 patients in the improved group underwent modified non-aerated transaxillary approach total endoscopic thyroid surgery, and 40 patients in the traditional group underwent traditional axillary approach total endoscopic thyroid surgery.SPSS 20.0 software was used for data analysis.Measurement data such as perioperative indicators, dysphagia Score Scale(SIS)and Voice dysphagia Index Scale(VHI)were expressed with((x)±s),and independent sample t test was performed for inter-group comparison. The x2 test was performed to compare the postoperative complications among the data groups.P<0.05 indicated that the difference was statistically significant. Results The operation time of the improved group was significantly shorter than that of the traditional group, and the area of the separated flap was smaller than that of the traditional group(P<0.05).The overall incidence of complications in the improved group was significantly lower than that in the traditional group(7.5%vs.25.0%,P<0.05).The SIS scores and VHI scores of the improved group were significantly lower than those of the traditional group at 1 week and 1 month after surgery(P<0.05);The visual analogue scale(VAS)scores in the improved group were significantly lower than those in the traditional group at 3 d and 5 d after surgery(P<0.05);The aesthetic satisfaction score of the improved group was significantly higher than that of the traditional group 3 months after surgery(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with traditional axillary approach endoscopic thyroid surgery, the modified non-inflatable axillary approach endoscopic thyroid surgery has shorter time, fewer complications, less impact on recurrent laryngeal nerve function, postoperative pain relief, and increased aesthetic satisfaction of patients, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
