The primary purpose of medical evaluations and selections of potential living kidney transplant(KT)donors is to ensure that the donors fulfill the medical requirements for kidney donation,safeguard the long-term physical and mental health of donors after donation and to take into account transplant effect of recipient.For better guiding KT medical workers in conducting standardized medical evaluations and selections of potential donors,Branch of Organ Transplantation,Chinese Medical Association convened the relevant KT experts in China.Based upon the Oxford University Evidence-Based Medicine Center Classification 2009,detailed evidence-based medicine recommendations were provided for 16 clinical issues in medical evaluations and selections of living KT donors,aiming to guide clinical practices,boost the overall level of medical evaluations and selections of donors and promote the development of living organ transplantation in China.
