The relevant clinical data were reviewed for a female patient of Wilson's disease(WD)with habitual abortion. After orthotopic liver transplantation(LT)due to liver dysfunction compensation, she became pregnant and successfully delivered a healthy baby at Month 9 post-LT.This study explored the impact of LT on pregnancy in WD patients and reviewed the related literature. The recipient has been followed up for over 4 years post-LT.Both mother and child are healthy. It suggested that LT surgery can boost the pregnancy success rate of WD patients.Immunosuppressants may be maintained during pregnancy while avoiding the dosing of mTOR inhibitors, mycophenolate mofetil and azathioprine.
