Through the bibliometric analysis of hernia and abdominal wall surgery literature published in international journals in recent years, and referencing data from hernia and abdominal wall surgery papers published in Chinese in domestic databases, this study focuses on discussing the bibliometric analysis results of inguinal and incisional hernia literature over the past 20 years, both domestically and internationally. It evaluates the achievements and shortcomings of China in the field of inguinal and incisional hernia, and proposes suggestions for the future work of hernia and abdominal wall surgery in China.
