Research progress of oncolytic virus in the treatment of bladder cancer
Bladder cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors of the urinary system.Currently,surgi-cal treatment,radiotherapy and chemotherapy are recommended,but the overall prognosis is poor,and more effective drugs are urgently needed clinically.Oncolytic virus provides a new opportunity for this.Oncolytic viruses represent a cutting-edge and promising approach to cancer immunotherapy.It is a virus that can selectively infect and destroy tumor cells,killing a lot and avoiding the characteristics of harming normal cells at the same time.At present,oncolyt-ic virus has made a major breakthrough in the treatment of bladder cancer,especially in non-invasive bladder cancer,and has been shown to be effective and safe in many clinical trials.In this review,the types,modification methods,cancer inhibition mechanisms and related signal expression pathways of several widely used oncolytic viruses in bladder cancer are reviewed.
