Role and research progress of necroptosis in colorectal cancer
Colorectal cancer is a common gastrointestinal malignancy. At present, the number of colorectal cancer patients under 50 years old is increasing in the world.Because of its susceptibility to drug resistance, the prog-nosis of colorectal cancer patients is poor and the mortality is high,so it is urgent to find other methods to treat colorec-tal cancer.Necroptosis is a kind of programmed necrosis mediated by a variety of cytokines and Pattern recognition re-ceptors(PRRs).More and more studies show that necroptosis-related DNA/RNA can indicate the prognosis of pa-tients,and inducing tumor cells to necroptosis has the potential to treat colorectal cancer. In this review,we introduce the mechanism of necroptosis and its role in colorectal cancer, and list the drugs that target necroptosis in colorectal cancer.
