Research progress in the mechanism of NOD-like receptor protein 3 in acute pancreatitis
Acute pancreatitis is a digestive disease with potentially fatal risk, and the prognosis mainly depends mainly on secondary infection and organ failure with pancreatic or peripancreatic necrosis.About 10%to 20%of pa-tients with acute pancreatitis will progress to severe acute pancreatitis, with dangerous conditions, many complications, and a high case fatality rate. The discovery of the NOD-like receptor protein 3(NLRP3)inflammasome has enriched our understanding of the pathogenesis of multiple inflammatory diseases. The NLRP 3 inflammasome is a protein com-plex that is a major driver of inflammation.More and more studies have shown that the NLRP 3 inflammasome plays a crucial role in the aseptic inflammatory response in acute pancreatitis. However, the specific regulatory mechanism of NLRP3 inflammasome activation remains unclear. Therefore,we conducted a comprehensive review of the mechanism of the NLRP 3 inflammasome on acute pancreatitis.
