Clinical efficacy of absorbable screws combined with anchor screws in the treatment of 10 cases of posterior cruciate ligament avulsion fractures through the internal and external head gaps of the posterior gastrocnemius muscle of the knee joint
Objective To analyze the clinical effect of posterior cruciate ligament(PCL)with ab-sorbable screws combined with wire anchors through the medial and lateral head space of the posterior gas-trocnemius.Methods Analyze the clinical data of 10 patients with posterior cruciate ligament avulsion fractures treated with an absorbable screw system combined with a threaded anchor screw through a modified knee joint posterior approach through the internal and external head space of the gastrocnemius muscle from August 2020 to December 2023.Evaluate the bone fracture healing status through postoperative X-ray ex-aminations at 1 month,3 months, and 6 months;Collect and compare preoperative and postoperative Ly-sholm and Tegner scores for knee joint function. The t-test was used to compare the measurement data. Results The incisions of all patients healed in the first stage, and no symptoms of vascular and nerve inju-ry occurred. The follow-up time was 3-12 months, and all patients healed in the first stage. The Lysholm scores before and after surgery were(25.08±7.60)points and(95.32±1.08)points,respectively.Tegner scores were(3.42±0.78)and(8.60±0.32),respectively.Postoperative scores were significantly better than preoperative scores, and the differences were statistically significant(t=2.165,2.304,P<0.05).Conclusion The application of absorbable screw combined with wire anchor through the posterior gastrocnemius space approach to the treatment of posterior cruciate ligament avulsion fracture is simple, convenient, safe and effective, with full exposure,no risk of neurovascular injury, and short operation time.
