Research progress in the role of histone deacetylase 3 in organ fibrosis
Organ fibrosis refers to the formation of scar and excessive collagen deposition in normal tissue lead-ing to organ dysfunction and even failure.Histone deacetylase 3(HDAC3)is a histone modifying enzyme that inhibits gene expression by epigenetic modification by removing acetyl groups from histone.Studies have shown that HDAC3 is involved in regulating the occurrence and development of organ fibrosis. This article reviews the research progress of HDAC3-induced organ fibrosis in order to provide new ideas for clinical treatment of organ fibrosis.
