Research progress in experimental animal models of achilles tendinopathy
Achilles tendinopathy has become one of the most common of the strain disorders of the foot and an-kle,and the disease remains incurable.Experimental animal models play a crucial role in understanding human achil-les tendinopathy and its underlying pathological mechanisms and therapeutic approaches. In this paper,we mainly re-view the current research status of experimental animal models of achilles tendinopathy at home and abroad in recent years, discuss the advantages and disadvantages of several common modelling schemes, and at the same time elaborate on the selection of modelling animals and animal modelling methods, with the aim of providing a reference basis for re-searchers to select more appropriate and efficient experimental animal models of achilles tendinopathy in the future,so as to treat achilles tendinopathy more effectively.
