Comparison of the efficacy of loop steel plate and K-wire fixation in the treatment of ulna-radial joint dislocation
Objective To compare the efficacy of circumflex and K-wire fixation in the treatment of ulnaradial joint dislocation. Methods A total of 62 patients with early ulnar-radial dislocation admitted to Zhengzhou Orthopaedic Hospital from May 2018 to July 2023 were analyzed, and they were divided into two groups according to different surgical methods:K-wire fixation in the control group and 31 cases in the observation group with loop plate fixation. The follow-up time was(14.5±1.5)months.The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, fluoroscopy times,Cooney wrist score and complications within 1 year be-fore surgery,1 week after surgery, and 12 months after surgery were compared between the two groups. The Cooney wrist score between the two groups before surgery,1 week after surgery, and 12 months after surgery was performed using an independent sample t-test.Results During the follow-up period, all pa-tients had no incision infection, and one case of ulnar-radial subluxation occurred in the control group, and the Cooney wrist score, flexion and extension range of motion of the affected side, and pronation and supi-nation range of motion in the observation group were higher than those in the control group at 12 months af-ter surgery[Cooney wrist score,pain(24.03±0.80)points vs.(22.81±1.62)points,functional status(24.22±0.52)points vs.(22.87±1.46)points,range of motion(24.07±0.85)points vs.(22.13±1.59)points,grip strength(23.61±1.38)points vs.(22.42±1.63)points,flexion and extension range of motion(108.03±4.68)° vs.(101.45±5.84)°,P<0.05,pronation and supination range of motion(111.84±7.70)° vs.(109.13±13.64)°,P<0.05].Conclusion Compared with K-wires in the treat-ment of lower ulnar-radial joint dislocation, plate fixation with loops has better efficacy, and can effectively reduce wrist pain and restore wrist joint function.
