Research advances of pathogenesis of benign prostatic hyperplasia
Benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)is one of the most common disorders of urology, resulting in lower urinary tract symptoms(LUTS)that seriously affect the quality of life of elder men.Although the first-line treat-ment drugs for BPH are effective, there are still cases of drug insensitivity or gradual failure. Therefore, this study aims to review the current research advances of the pathogenesis of BPH,and summarize the influence of various factors on prostate gland and stromal hyperplasia,in order to find reliable intervention targets and provide novel approaches for clinical BPH treatment.
