Discussion on the Spatial Form Evolution of Historical Blocks from the Perspective of Conzenian School:Taking Xuannan Jiaochangkou Area as an Example
The important impetus for the protection of his-toric blocks lies in the delineation,management,and sus-tainable renewal of block shapes.However,most urban re-newal actions today ignore the dynamic protection of block morphological features and historical processes,resulting in the gradual loss of humanistic connotations and histori-cal background.The Conzen School based on human ge-ography focuses on the form and evolution of the city at the micro level,providing a good theoretical basis for the cognition and management of historic blocks.This paper selects the historical area of Xiaochangkou in Xuannan,Bei-jing as the research object,explores the evolution process and mechanism of land parcel form based on traditional historical geography research,and reveals the reasons and mechanisms for its form evolution,to provide a reference for the renewal and protection of historical blocks in the future.
