Evaluation of Child-friendliness of Reading Space under Embodied Perspective:Taking Chaohu Library as an Example
Reading is an important means for children to de-velop and understand the world, and public reading space is an important place for children's education. However,at this stage, the design of children's reading space in China is mostly centered on the adult perspective, and the physi-cal and mental needs of children as a vulnerable group in the reading space cannot be addressed. This paper com-bines the theory of embodied cognition and the guidelines for the construction of child-friendly spaces in the context of the lack of children's reading space construction, and establishes a scientific post-use evaluation system based on the key points of children's reading space design. The questionnaire survey method is used to collect data from the relevant users in Chaohu Library, and the analytic hier-archy process is used to process the data and derive the evaluation results.Combined with the results of the sur-vey on the current situation, the existing children's reading space problems are evaluated and optimized, and we strive to provide a holistic and friendly space design strategy for the future construction of children's reading space, which is beneficial to the promotion of children's physical and men-tal development.
