Exploration on Interpretation and Presentation of Cultural Landscape Based on the Concept of Sustainable Development:a Case Study of the Tea Forest Cultural Landscape of Jingmai Mountain
As an important part of heritage conservation and management process, heritage interpretation and presenta-tion are intended to heighten public awareness and enhance understanding and appreciation of cultural heritage sites. However,in the relevant theoretical research and practices, there is a lack of discussion on the interpretation of cultural landscapes.Cultural landscapes have been formed by the interaction between people and nature through a long his-tory.Sustainable development constitutes not just a funda-mental aspect of their heritage values but also represents an objective in the conservation and management of heritage.Taking the Tea Forest Cultural Landscape of Jingmai Moun-tain as a case study, the paper tries to propose a planning strategy for the interpretation and presentation of cultural landscape regarding sustainability. The suggestions involve creating a comprehensive and adaptable interpretation and presentation system tailored to the features of the cultural landscape. This encompasses incorporating heritage utili-zation and management as tools for overseeing changes and preserving the interconnections between individual el-ements.Additionally,there is a proposal to integrate ex-tensive and continuous community engagement to uphold the internal driving force behind the ongoing evolution of the landscape and showcase cultural diversity. Finally,it is expected that the interpretation and presentation of cultural heritage sites can not only convey the heritage values and their significance, but also promote heritage conservation and the sustainable development of heritage sites.
