A Study on the Correlational Characteristics of Neighborhood Block Layout Form and Building Operational Carbon Emissions:Xi'an Urban Area as the Case
Neighborhood block, serving as fundamental units in urban composition, the operational carbon emis-sions from its residential buildings also constitute one of the primary sources of urban carbon emissions. Some studies have preliminarily demonstrated that its layout form has a certain impact on the building operational car-bon emissions. However, current neighborhood block lay-outs primarily consider factors such as insolation standard, fire safety, spatial aesthetics and so on,lacking indicators and forms guided by low-carbon principles. Therefore, this study, with the aim of low-carbon operation of buildings, focuses on Xi'an urban area, utilizing building carbon emis-sion simulation analysis techniques.Emphasis is placed on exploring the quantitative relationship features between neighborhood block layout form characterization indicators and building operational carbon emissions, and the degree of low-carbon performance in typical layout form types,un-veiling the impact patterns of layout form on building opera-tional carbon emissions.
