Carbon Emission Assessment and Low-Carbon Renewal Strategy Research Based on Residents'Daily Life:a Case Study of Typical Residential Areas in Gusu District,Suzhou
The residential area,as the basic spatial unit of the city, plays a crucial role in achieving a'low-carbon city'through low-carbon renewal. The high energy consumption and low resource utilization in old residential communities pose significant challenges that urgently need to be ad-dressed in the process of low-carbon renewal. This study takes 12 typical old residential neighborhoods in Gusu Dis-trict,Suzhou,as examples. It investigates residential car-bon emissions and carbon efficiency based on residents'lifestyles, assessing their levels of carbon emissions and carbon efficiency. On this basis, combined with the existing types of community renovation,a decision-making frame-work was constructed based on the three dimensions of'renovation type-carbon emissions-carbon emission ef-ficiency'.A low-carbon renewal path was formulated, and differentiated low-carbon renewal strategies were proposed in five aspects:building energy, transportation, resource al-location,waste disposal, and ecological environment. The aim is to provide guidance for the implementation of low-carbon renewal work in other community areas.
