Analysis of Block Spatial Characteristics and the Renewal Strategy under Perspective of Historical Changes—Taking Siwen Lane of Shanghai and Its Surrounding Blocks as an Example
Lane block is the modem architectural space form unique to Shanghai,and it has become an important name card of the urban space of Shanghai because of its special appearance,texture and building.But with the development and construction of city,those characteristic spaces are disappearing from the vision of people.How to protect lane heritage and keep lane memory has become an important problem in the work of urban renewal;By analysis of the lane block appearance and spatial feature change based on the perspective of historical changes,important basis can be provided for understanding the mechanism of problem emergence and selecting the strategy of renewal.From the angle of historical change,this paper takes Siwen Lane and its surrounding space as an example,analyzes its spatial characteristics,genesis mechanism and present problems by the method of urban design,puts forward the strategy of spatial optimization in three horizons,including"texture appearance—functional space—heritage and venue",so as to provide reference for the protection and renewal of relevant urban historical space.
