Exploration to Rural Gentrification in Metropolitan Suburb Based on the Grounded Theory—Taking Zhujiajiao Town of Shanghai as an Example
Based on the grounded theory,this paper explores the problem of rural gentrification in Zhujiajiao Town of Shanghai,and it emphatically analyzes the driving factor,favorable influence and confronted challenge.It is found through research:economic opportunity,social notion and policy play the core role in the gentrification process;rural tourism development strategy has significant impact on the process of gentrification,but its sustainability and social equality are doubted by some stakeholders;power distance and low degree of resident participation are main social challenges.Suggestions for future rural development is put forward on that basis,and the importance of sustainability is stressed,so as to provide key visual angle for rural gentrification in China,and that is conducive to realizing more just and inclusive community development.
