On the Children Education of the National Roosevelt Library under the Visual Threshold of Sino-Western Communication(1946-1949)
As one of the important symbols of China-US relations in the Republic of China era,the National Roosevelt Library is a typical case for the study of the impact of Sino-Western communication on children education of Chinese public libraries.Children education of the library was an inherent requirement of its social education function,as well as a practical need for the development of children education enterprise.With the advocation from public and the concern from managers,the library has conducted children education through multiple ways.The whole process has been deeply influenced by the background of the cultural exchange between China and the West,and the rise and decline of the library's children education was closely related to the changes of Sino-foreign relations.
