摘要
"西洋館譯語"是乾隆十三年敕編"華夷譯語"中五種漢語與歐洲語言的對照字書.卷端題名"西洋館"的來歷至今不清.本文在介紹故宫本和皇史宬本的基礎上,結合中外史料論證了所題"西洋館"與"西洋學館"並無關聯.進而通過挖掘"西洋館譯語"和《西番館譯語》各層面的一致關係後推斷,卷端題名"西洋館"源自對"西番館"的臨時效仿,以求成書標準的統一.
Abstract
Under the decree of Qianlong(乾隆)in 1748,Hsi-yang-kuan i-yii,belonging to the polyglot Chinese dictionaries of Hua-i-i-yü,is a compilation in 5 European languages The origin of heading Hsi-yang-kuan,however,still remains unsettled.The present paper introduced versions kept in Library of the Palace Museum and the First Historical Archives of China.It,through documental research,proved the irrelevance between Hsi-yang-kuan and College Latin.By analyzing and comparing those agreements corresponding to the Tibetan Vocabulary,the paper concluded the heading Hsi-yang-kuan,on reaching the unified standardization,was a temporary imitation from the office title Hsi-fan-kuan(西番館).
