Synergistic effects of PBO and MGK264 on three insecticides against Blattella germanica
Objective To determine the synergistic effects of piperonyl butoxide(PBO)and Octacide 264(MGK264)on three insecticides against Blattella germanica, and to provide evidence for the application of synergistic agents in the control of B.germanica.Methods The synergic effect of synergist on the insecticide on B.germanica was determined by the drug membrane contact method. On this basis, the quantitative aerosol was prepared by selecting the best concentration ratio of synergist, and the synergic effect of synergist on the insecticide in the aerosol was determined by the cylinder method. Results The two synergists had different degrees of synergistic effect on the three insecticides, and except PBO on propoxur, the synergistic effect was basically proportional to the concentration of synergistic agent. When PBO was mixed with 0.05%cypermethrin,0.05%d-cypermethrin and 0.05%propoxur,the optimal synergistic content was 0.4%,0.4%and 0.025%,respectively.The optimal synergistic concentration of MGK264 mixed with three insecticides was 0.4%.The synergies of PBO to 0.1%beta-cypermethrin,0.2%d-cypermethrin aerosol and 0.5%propoxur aerosol were 17%,15%and 33%,respectively,and the synergies of MGK264 to these three insecticides were 9%,19%and 20%,respectively.Conclusion PBO and MGK264 can be used as the ideal synergist products for the control of B.germanica widely in household sanitary insecticides.
