The epidemiological characteristics of human brucellosis in Chengde City from 2017 to 2021
Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of human brucellosis in Chengde City from 2017 to 2021,and provide scientific basis for effective prevention and control.Methods The data of human brucellosis in Chengde City from 2017 to 2021 were downloaded from the China Information System for Disease Control and Prevention.The sheep and cattle breeding situation was provided by the animal husbandry department.Excel 2019 was used for descriptive analysis,and GIS software was for the analysis of the spatial correlation and trend of the incidence.Results A total of 1994 cases of brucellosis were reported in Chengde from 2017 to 2021,with the annual incidence ranging from 8.98 per 100 000 to 16.69 per 100 000.Cases were reported in all age groups,mostly in 40-69 years old.Farmers and herdsmen took the main part of the cases.The male cases were more than the female cases,with a ratio as 2.56:1.Brucellosis occurred in 11 counties(cities and districts).The incidence of brucellosis in Chengde showed a spatial aggregation,mainly in the northwest of Chengde.Eleven strains of brucella were isolated and cultured,all sheep type 3.Conclusion From 2017 to 2021,brucellosis in Chengde City was sporadic,higher from April to July.The regional distribution of brucellosis showed obvious aggregation.The prevention and control of brucellosis should be strengthened continuously throughout the year.
