Epidemiological and clinical characteristics of 27 patients of severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome in Zaozhuang
Objective To learn the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome(SFTS)cases in Zaozhuang,providing evidence for the scientific diagnosis and treatment of the disease.Methods Retrospective analysis was employed.The epidemiological characteristics,clinical manifestations,laboratory examination results,medication and disease outcome of 27 SFTS cases admitted to Zaozhuang Municipal Hospital from 2018 to 2022 were collected and analyzed.Results Of the 27 SFTS cases,11 male and 16 female,with an average age of(62.56±9.61)years,farmers took the main part accounting for 81.48%(22/27).The onset time concentrated from April to October.The cases were mainly from Shanting District,accounting for 48.15%(13/27).12 cases had a clear history of tick bite.All cases had a fever,symptoms mainly as lymph node enlargement 85.19%(23/27),headache 70.37%(19/27),gastrointestinal discomfort 66.67%(18/27),and general fatigue 44.44%(12/27).The laboratory examination showed that,of the 27 cases,27 thrombocytopenia,21 leucopenia,15 D-dimer increase,13 granulocytopenia,13 abnormal coagulation function,10 abnormal liver function,9 procalcitonin increase,and 7 urinary albumen.The patients were medicated mainly antiviral drugs combined with human serum albumin,and hospitalized(10.15±4.22)days in average,with 92.59%(25/27)recovery.Conclusion Fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome occurs mainly in spring and summer.Antiviral drugs combined with human serum albumin are effective.
