Investigation on the resistance of Blattella germanica to 6 insecticides in Suzhou City in 2022
Objective To investigate the resistance of Blattella germanica to 6 common insecticides in built-up area of Suzhou City, and provide data support for scientific application of insecticide against cockroach. Methods The wild population of B.germanica was collected in the small and medium-sized restaurants, hotels and agricultural markets in the Yongqiao district of Suzhou City from April to June 2022,and the biological resistance of 6 commonly used insecticides was determined by drug film method.Excel 2024 and SPSS 23.0 software were used to process and analyze the test data. Results The mortality rates of B.germanicain 24 hours against 6 insecticides,tetramethrin,beta-cypermethrin,permethrin,alphamethrin,deltamethrin and dichlorvos were 46.00%、100.00%、93.98%、92.86%、94.95%and 92.50%,respectively.The median knockdown time KT50 was 44.92,18.21,24.85,19.41,20.51and 32.05 min, respectively.According to the mortality resistance criteria,B.germanica was resistant to tetramethrin, possibly resistant to alphamethrin, permethrin, deltamethrin and dichlorvos, and sensitive to beta-cypermethrin.According to the knockdown resistance standard, low resistance to beta-cypermethrin(4.43 times)and moderate resistance to permethrin, alphamethrin, deltamethrin and dichlorvos(5.38,5.23,5.25 and 8.30 times, respectively)were developed.Highly resistant to tetramethrin was developed(12.94 times). Conclusion B.germanica in Suzhou City developed different degrees of resistance to commonly used insecticides, and high efficiency cypermethrin can still be used moderately, and amine permethrin and other insecticides should be stopped.
