Objective To understand the species composition, seasonal fluctuation of density, regional and habitat distribution of dengue vector Aedes in Deyang City,so as to provide scientific basis for formulating vector mosquito control measures and conduct dengue fever warning prediction and risk assessment. Methods According to the National Vector Surveillance Program and the Sichuan Dengue Prevention and Control Technical Plan(2023 edition),the Breteau index method and the double-layer overlapping net method were used to monitor the mosquito larval breeding situation and adult mosquito density in Deyang City in 2023.WPS 2016 software was used for data collection and analysis, and SPSS 25.0 software was used to conduct samples t-test,Mann-Whitney U test,Kruskal-Wallis H test and Chi-square test correlation analysis. Results In terms of mosquito larval breeding,a total of 3 600 households were investigated, with 8 507 water accumulations,of which 697 were positive;the BI value was 19.36,with outdoor areas having a higher BI than indoor areas(Z=3.61,P<0.01);the CI was 8.19%,with no significant difference between indoor and outdoor areas(χ2=1.17,P=0.28).The peak of mosquito larval breeding occurred from July to September, with the Breteau Index reaching a high value of≥20.Habitats such as scrap tire dumps, waste stations, and construction sites were more prone to mosquito breeding(all P<0.05).In terms of adult mosquito density,407 Aedes albopictus were captured from May to October, with an average density of 3.77 mosquitoes per trap·hour;August had the highest density, reaching 6.61 mosquitoes per trap·hour. Conclusion In 2023,Aedes albopictus larval breeding and adult mosquito density were high in some seasons and habitats in Deyang City, and there was a risk of dengue outbreaks from July to September.Targeted control measures should be taken to prevent and control the occurrence and transmission of dengue fever.
