Objective To understand the density, species, seasonal fluctuation, and virus carrying status of mosquitoes in Changchun City from 2020 to 2023,so as to provide scientific basis for mosquito control and risk warning of mosquito borne infectious diseases. Methods According to the requirements of the National Implementation Plan for Vector Monitoring, the Changchun City Vector Monitoring Work Plan, and the National Vector Pathogen Monitoring Plan(Trial),mosquito density was monitored by using the lamp trapping method in Chaoyang District and Lvyuan District of Changchun City from May to October each year. The surveillance results of mosquito density in different years, months, and habitats were analyzed using Excel 2016 and SPSS 21.0 software, and one-way analysis of variance(ANOVA)was used to compare differences between groups. Results From 2020 to 2023,a total of 920 lamps were deployed, and 14 554 adult mosquitoes were captured. The total mosquito density was 15.81 mosquitoes/lamp·night,and the annual mosquito density showed a decreasing trend.72.7%of the total captured mosquitoes were found in livestock sheds, and Aedes vexans Meigen was the dominant species, while Culex pipiens pallens was the dominate species in other habitats. There were statistical differences in the composition ratio of different mosquito species and the density of different mosquito species in different years(F=13.092,P<0.05;F=14.118,P<0.05).The seasonal fluctuation of mosquito density showed a single-peak curve, with a peak density from July to August. All the captured mosquitoes were negative for Japanese encephalitis virus and West Nile virus. Conclusion The overall mosquito density showed a downward trend, and Japanese encephalitis virus and West Nile viruswere not found in mosquitoes in Changchun City from 2020 to 2023.However,local should pay attention to composition ratio and density of Culex pipiens pallens, and strengthen mosquito prevention and control work.
