A guideline was issued by the General Offices of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council on September 4,2022,which required local authorities at all levels to enhance the popularization of science and technology as an important foundational work for achieving innovative development.Specifically in the field of vector-borne disease control,popularization of science plays a crucial role in strengthening the national health concept,improving the technical level of vector-borne disease control among the whole population,actively participating in patriotic health movements,and thereby promoting the construction of a Healthy China.This article analyzes the significant importance of science popularization in the prevention and control of vector-borne disease and the current situation of science popularization and publicity work.The article suggests that related organizations should raise awareness and increase investment on science popularization for upgrading the quality of science popularization and publicity in the prevention and control of vector borne disease,so as to prevent outbreaks of related infectious diseases and to help build a Healthy China.
