Preparation of compound mugwort mosquito repellent liquid and its effect evaluation
Objective To develop compound mugwort mosquito repellent liquid and evaluate its repellent effect.Methods The mugwort volatile oil was extracted by enzyme-assisted water vapor distillation,and the extraction conditions were optimized by orthogonal design.The mugwort volatile oil was used as the raw material to formulate the mosquito repellent liquid,and the product was evaluated in terms of its repellent effect,physicochemical properties,and other aspects of quality.Results The optimal extraction conditions were cellulase 1.0％,enzymatic hydrolysis temperature 55 ℃ and enzymatic hydrolysis pH 5.0.The formula of compound mugwort mosquito repellent liquid was the volatile oil of mugwort 2 ml,honeysuckle extract 2 ml,peppermint extract 2 ml,borneol 0.2 g,PEG-40 0.5 g,edible ethanol 15 ml,fragrance 2 g,then dissolved and diluted to 50 ml with deionized water.The results of sensory indexes,physical and chemical properties,and skin irritation all met the requirements of the related standards.The repellent effect met the class B standard of GB/T 13917.9-2009.Conclusion Compound mugwort mosquito repellent liquid is safe and environment-friendly,and has a good repellent effect on mosquitoes and certain potential market.
