Termite damage has the characteristics of severity,concealment and diffusivity.Termite has become the urban insect which spends the most control cost.To maximize the social welfare,it is the most effective pathway to incorporate termite control into government public service and conduct the whole-area implementation.The theoretical basis of whole-area termite control is discussed from the aspects of concept,strategy and basic content of whole-area termite control,and the practice of municipal whole-area termite control in Yiwu is analyzed from the aspects of strengthening the top-level design,standardizing the implementation,conducting the scientific evaluation and constructing the digital platform.In order to realize the normalization of whole-area termite control,suggestions are put forward to strengthen the awareness of whole-area termite control,formulate the technical standard,and improve the service application platform for the whole life cycle of termite control.
