Objective To analyze the situation of four imported malaria cases detected during the first physical examination of foreign students at Changshu port in Jiangsu Province,explore the prevention and control strategies for imported malaria and propose strategies for preventing the spread of malaria at ports.Methods An epidemiological investigation was performed for four patients,and the rapid diagnostic test(RDT)used for diagnosis.Results Four patients were all confirmed as imported malaria cases from malaria endemic areas,and three patients had a history of malaria.All patients were cured after symptomatic treatment.Conclusion After all patients with the isolation and treatment,timely communication and management,the imported transmission has been successfully interrupted.Strengthening the implementation of quarantine measures for malaria cases imported from overseas by customs is the foundation of prevention and control.
