Research on the Site Selection of Sub-safety Zones in Deep Underground Spaces Based on Node Importance
To mitigate and address the safety risks associated with deep underground evacuations, the concept of sub-safety zone is introduced, establishing temporary shelters equipped with safety features and evacuation buffering func-tions in deep underground space.By abstracting the deep underground space model into a topological network and calculat-ing the importance of each network node and based on the characteristics of deep subsurface evacuations and the results of node importance ranking, the criteria for selecting and grading sub-safety zones are established. The findings indicate that the bottom of the primary vertical evacuation structure directly connected to the surface serves as an important evacua-tion node and should be designated as a primary sub-safety zone;nodes ranked in the top 7.0%in terms of importance are mostly located at the intersections of horizontal evacuation channels in the stairwell front room, designated as second-ary sub-safety zones;nodes ranked between 7.0%and 18.4%in importance are mostly located in the stairwell front room within the tunnel, designated as third-level sub-safety zones. The proposed location selection of deep sub-safety zones can effectively ensure the evacuation safety of crowds in deep underground spaces, providing theoretical foundation and technical support for establishing a safe evacuation system for underground spaces.
