XU Wei linked poetry and painting through"ink play",showing a unique interactive relationship between poetry and painting. His"ink play"brushwork does not seek shape,but"ink play"brushwork pay attention to person own feelings into which to give the works the largest emotional expression. XU Wei Poetry and painting in the use of ink techniques for integration and interaction. On the one hand,XU Wei explores the expansion,innovation and guidance of the words in his poems on paint-ing,on the other hand,he combines the technique of"ink play"with color to further explore the relationship between it and po-etry. Compared with the works of other literati painters,XU Wei paid more attention to the release of his own emotions in his works,further promote the poetry and painting complement each other,complement each other's development. This not only made great contributions to the development of art at that time,but also laid a foundation for the innovation of"ink play"in modern Chinese painting.
