Expressions of CCL21/CXCR3 signaling pathways in ischemic stroke patients complicated with pulmonary infection and diagnostic values
OBJECTIVE To investigate the expressions of chemokine 21(CCL21)/chemokine receptor 3(CXCR3)signaling pathways in peripheral blood of the ischemic stroke patients complicated with pulmonary infection and analyze the diagnostic values.METHODS A total of 110 patients with ischemic stroke who were treated in Xingtai People's Hospital from Jun 2021 to Jun 2022 were enrolled in the study and were divided into the infection group with 32 cases and the no infection group with 78 cases according to the status of pulmonary infection. The expres-sions of peripheral blood CCL21/CXCR3 were detected,Pearson correlation analysis was performed for the associ-ation between the expressions of CCL21/CXCR3 and the lung function indexes. The clinical values of CCL21 and CXCR3 in diagnosis of pulmonary infection of the ischemic stroke patients were analyzed by means of receiver op-erating characteristic(ROC)curves.RESULTS There were significant differences in history of smoking,compli-cation with diabetes mellitus, disturbance of consciousness,GCS score and NIHSS score between the two groups of patients(P<0.05).The expression levels of CCL21 and CXCR3 of the infection group were higher than those of the no infection group(P<0.05),while the lung function indexes forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),forced expiratory volume in one second/forced vital capacity(FEV1/FVC)and peak expiratory flow(PEF)were lower in the infection group than in the no infection group(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that the expression levels of CCL21/CXCR3 were negatively correlated with FEV1,FEV1/FVC and PEF(P<0.05).ROC curve analysis indicated that the areas under curves(AUCs)of CCL21 and CXCR3 were respec-tively 0.839(95%CI:0.762-0.915)and 0.849(95%CI:0.774-0.924)in diagnosis of pulmonary infection in the patients with ischemic stroke.CONCLUSION The ischemic stroke patients complicated with pulmonary infection show high expressions of CCL21/CXCR3 signaling pathways, which are closely associated with the lung function, and the indexes have high clinical values in diagnosis of pulmonary infection.
