Pathogenic bacteria of reproductive tract infection in gynecological outpatients and the diagnostic value of Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway
OBJECTIVE To investigate the pathogenic bacteria colonization of reproductive tract infection in gyneco-logical outpatients and the diagnostic value of Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway.METHODS The clinical data of 489 gynecological outpatients admitted to the Jiamusi Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Heilongjiang Province from Mar.2020 to Mar.2023 were retrospectively analyzed, and the patients were divided into 77 cases of the in-fected group and 412 cases of the non-infected group according to the status of reproductive tract infection. The status and the colonization of pathogenic bacteria in the reproductive tract infection of gynecological outpatients were analyzed, the risk factors of reproductive tract infection in gynecological outpatients were summarized, the expression levels of Wnt-7a and β-catenin in peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC)of the non-infected and the infected groups were compared, and receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to analyze the di-agnostic value of single and combined detection of Wnt-7a and β-catenin levels in PBMC in gynecological outpa-tients with reproductive tract infection.RESULTS A total of 88 strains of pathogenic bacteria were detected in pa-tients with reproductive tract infection in gynecological clinic,of which 25 strains of gram-negative bacteria ac-counted for 28.41%,predominating by Escherichia coli.29 strains of Gram-positive bacteria accounted for 32.95%,predominating by coagulase negative Staphylococcus.12 strains of fungi accounted for 13.64%.Myco-plasma 14 strains accounted for 15.91%.5 strains of Chlamydia accounted for 5.68%.Three strains of Trichomonas accounted for 3.41%.Age,sexual behavior, lack of contraception, history of abortion, history of reproductive tract infection and education level were the risk factors of reproductive tract infection in gynecological outpatients(P<0.05).The levels of Wnt-7a and β-catenin in PBMC in the infected group were higher than those in the non-infected group(P<0.05).The area under the curve(AUC)of the combined detection of Wnt-7a andβ-catenin for the diagnosis of reproductive tract infection in gynecological outpatients was higher than that of single detection(P<0.05),and the sensitivity and specificity of combined detection were 81.82%and 83.74%.CONCLUSION The main pathogens of reproductive tract infection in gynecological outpatients were gram-positive bacteria.Age,sexual behavior, lack of contraception, history of abortion, history of reproductive tract infection and education level were closely related to the occurrence of reproductive tract infection in gynecological outpa-tients.The Wnt/β-catenin pathway was activated in patients with reproductive tract infection in gynecological clin-ic.The combined detection of Wnt-7a and β-catenin expression in PBMC could improve the diagnostic value of re-productive tract infection in gynecological outpatients.
